First of all congrats. Second, don't wear tampons if you leave it in for too long you can get TSS ( Toxic Shock syndrome.) Its not a flow of non stop blood. You lose less than a half a cup not that much. Use pads you just stick them to your underwear an there you go! Ask your mom how a period works she can probably explain it better lol. And if you want to wear tampons there are instructions in the box. But remember to change it every 3 hours or you will get TSS like I mentioned earlier. Be sure to talk to your mo about she may not want you to wear tampons, she can explain it, and she will help you through it. When you pee it wont come out. Just put the pad or tampon on and when blood comes out you wont even feel it. You may have cramps though I suggest over the counter pill or a heating pad. Be sure to talk to your mom about it. Best of luck jade. Hope I helped!

It flows all day and the entire week you have your period. A period is basically the shedding of the uterus' lining which contains blood, tissue, and of course an unfertilized egg. To use a tampon, insert. The plastic tip into your vagina and push the applicator down. Once the tampon is in, take take the applicator out. The string should hang out of your vagina and in-between your thighs. Be careful not to leave a tampon in for over eight hours. You could develop a rare but sometimes fatal infection called toxic shock syndrome. You dont need to change it every time you use the bathroom, but every 4 hours or so. If the tampon feels uncomfortable, you may need to adjust it or pull it out and try again. Don't worry, a tampon can't get lost in your body. Hope this helped :]

You get your period for about a week once a month (although its different for everybody). Yes it is nonstop, so you should wear a pad all day (change it every hour or so because it starts to smell). Tampons are good if you are going to go swimming or want to do more athletic things that you need flexibility for. Basically you just insert the plastic side of the tampon into your vagina, but change it every so often as well because its not good for you if you leave it in for a long time.
Look online or ask your mother, sister, aunt, etc. It's not that difficult.

Periods are basically nonstop flow for as long as you have them. Typically, they don't last over a week. For me, the first two or three days are the heaviest flow, then the flow weakens. And for your first time I would recommend using a pad. Tampons may seem a little scary.
