Don't worry. It'll stop! My periods are always like this , you have to calm down. You're just a reallly heavy period that's all! The clots are really normal too, I also get them . Go to the toilet... Is your pee red? Mine was it's just you're crazy heavy, your body was ready for a baby but now it's not so it's flushing it out of your system. You're not going to die. Your period may be 8 days 9 days a week. But if it's more than 10 days see a doctor! Good Luck! xxx

Try to calm down. Some women have very heavy periods. Your flow can drastically change... tomorrow it could be significantly lighter.

However, if you're still bleeding heavily in two or so days, it would be a good idea to make an appointment with a doctor to figure out if anything is wrong.

But for now try to calm down and don't stress too badly over it, okay? If you feel comfortable, maybe speak to your mother or a trusted woman about it.

Edit: It's perfectly okay to feel weird about discussing it with your mother. It can be an awkward and personal conversation. The clotting is normal, a lot of women experience it. It's going to sound gross, but what it is is a mixture of blood clots and the lining of your uterus, which is what is being shed during your period. Periods usually become heavier and clotting comes around the second or third day or so. Sometimes the periods stay heavy. I know it can be scary when you're new to periods, but for now try to get through the next couple of days and keep monitoring the flow of your period. If it's still heavy in two days then it's a good idea to make an appointment to see a doctor.

Depending on what type of girl you are, you flows can vary. The gooey and flabby like substance that you see is perfectly normal. 6 days ... if you are new to the whole period thing, your body will take sometime to adjust before your cycles actually level off and last the appropriate amount of times. I am just like you and my periods tend to last 3 weeks and I bleed for a while. My flows tend to be very heavy and take a while to level off. If your case is similar to mine, you should see the doctor but I am pretty sure that if you are new to the period thing, your body takes a while to adjust. There is nothing to be afriad off.

This has happened to me before. Try to relax. If you're still on your period in 2 days, see a doctor.

Hello Bree Rockz,
First of all it is natural to be freaked out for having such an experience. It would be a good idea to seek some medical advice and go to someone professional. My guess from experience is that you could have some cysts which can easily be diagnosed through a check up from your doctor. I would choose a female doctor you are comfortable. Once you have done the check up you will have peace of mind and stop worrying. Clots have been known to be comon with some women when having periods but at the same time it is important to check it out so you can be more at ease. This happened to me also and once I was checked it seemed to turn out ok afterwards. Please mention this to your parents or someone who can accompany you as you will feel more relaxed.
In the meantime you can take herbal drinks like chamomile tea or something to help you relax as this will definitely boost your immune system and even perhaps fix the problem. Something that helped me a lot was doing exercise a lot (but not during your period). I found that after working out I felt stronger and healthier and everything was back to normal. Do try and change your lifestyle to a more active one if you can. It will make a great difference to your body and mind. Hope this helps - Most important to go for a check up before it may get worse.
Regarding being scared of your Mum the same thing happened to me and she was the one that worried more in the end as she really wanted me to be comortable. Please please talk to her and she will really be on your side. You may even ask her if she had the same experience as my Mum also had the same problem. That way you can both have a chat about it without feeling uncomfortable.
