Answers:

Yeast infections are usually harmless by themselves to begin with. They do point to an imbalance in the body system. And usually if untreated they make room for other infections to invade the body through the breach in the skin where they live.

Your skin is the largest protective organ of the body and any breach of the skin is a sight of invasion and internal invasions are more dangerous than external ones because you are less aware of the danger till the progression is more apparent.

Probably you would not ignore a one inch abrasion cut on your face but you might ignore a one inch patch of yeast in the vagina which is equally dangerous. It is so good you are asking questions and taking responsibility for your health - God bless you with good health

Mom of four, RN

When I was younger I had one, I was afraid to tell my parents because I thought it was an STD
I ignored it for months... never went away... and when I did tell I had to get on perscription medcine bc the OTC was no longer strong enough to fight it...

It's just a pain in the *** to deal with. You can buy OTC medcines everywhere..
they have pills you shove inside yourself... or these messy *** creams.
usually in 1, 3, or 7 day doses
Some people swear on home rems...but they never worked for me.

It will get worse, impair digestion, impair absorption of nutrients, weaken immune system and totally undermine your health. Doctors don't believe in it but their lack of belief has no impact on the consequences for someone suffering from too much yeast.

well if your having unprotected sex it will keep going back and fourth between you and your partner
also it wont treat on it's own may seem like it faded away but it will just keep coming back.

I've read that if u dont get treated it can lead to fertility problems. Just get treated coz i'm sure it's not nice.
