Yes, you did, hon. Welcome to womanhood! If you have a mom (I realize some girls don't have a mother) or a woman you trust nearby, ask her if they have any pads. You can either choose a tampon or pad, but I prefer using a pad if you just had your first period. Put the pad into your underwear and change it every 4 to six hours. If you are done using it, throw it out and never flush it.

So, now you know how to handle with the blood, lets talk about your "period calender". You don't have to do this if you want but it helps you know when you will have your next period. Each month, mark the days that you have your period.

maybe if your mum has any spare pads use one and wait for 2-3 hours and if you bleed (even if it looks like you did a big number 2 and forget to wipe) try walking about a lot this helps if you have period pain and help the blood flow down.
