Any tips for using a Tampon?!

Question: Any tips for using a Tampon?
Okay so I'm going to try to use tampons for the first time today. I'm 15 years old and a virgin (if that matters some people say it does but idk). I read the instructions and played around with one but I am still a little nervous. I really need to be able to use one because I play sports and swim a lot. Do you have any tips for using one? And what was your first time using one like?

Answers:

Follow the instructions, go slow when pushing it in and pay attention to how it feels, and try multiple kinds until you find one that inserts and expands comfortably. Personally, it took some getting used to for me because I am pretty small. I also have found only Playtex Gentle Glide expand in a way that does not hurt me and seems to leak less. Just use trial and error to decide what's best for you.

and DO NOT spit on it. you should not introduce those germs to your vagina. it could very easily throw things off and you can get cuts/tears inside your vagina it could infect

Just follow instructions and it should be fine. I was nervous the first time too, and put one in when I did NOT have my period, and then spent the next half an hour trying to pull it out dry, and it was not fun. So make sure to try it when you have your period, and wait atleast an hour to pull it out, that way it will be wet, and will slide out easily.

it does not matter if you are a virgin or not i used them for a long time as a virgin.
you just have to get it in the right position, also try using a slim tampon, whats called a juniors.....
and the ones with the plastic applicators work best. try playtex sports.
they were the most comfortable ones for me as a virgin.

if you're finding it difficult to put in..
spread your legs really far apart and spit on the tip of it..
it makes it a hell of alot easier to put in..

lol. when i first put mine it, i didn't put it in far enough. it was really uncomfortable..
so be sure you push it in far enough.
