when will my period finally come?!

Well first of all, your shoe size and height really has nothing to do with your period. You are still young and yours probably won't come for another few years. Normally first periods come after you have had vaginal discharge, a white/clear goop that you will soon be finding in your underwear, for about a year or 2. Also you will probably have a decent amount of pubic hair and have had some breast growth. You probably have some time to go so be happy you don't have to worry about it for a while.
You will know when it about to come because you will probably feel bloated and crampy in your lower stomach. Also you may find brown discharge or a few spots of blood before you have a first period. This is spotting and it means your period will come soon. Then someday you will find blood in our underwear and you will have known that it had come!
You will know your type once you have had your period for a few months. If you have a small amoun of blood for your period, you will know that yours is light. If you have a normal amount of blood, you will have a regular period. I you have a lot of blood, you have a heavy or super flow. Really it just depends on the amount of blood.
All you need it do to tell your mom is go up to her and just say "mom I just had my period!" say it fast without hesitation to get it over with. Then she will get you what you need!
I have heard that always infinity is a good pad brand an that tampax pearl and tampax sport are good tampon brands. I suggest starting with pads for your first period because tampons can be scary.

I'm 13 and I haven had my period yet, but I have looked up a lot of info!

Sometimes you get it when your mom gets it. Or 1 or 2 years after your breasts start developing and you start to grow public hair.

You will know because you will start getting cramps (unless your active) and you will see blood on your underwear.

When you start you should always get thick for the first 2 days. When you feel the flow is light get pantyliners.

Just say to your mom "I think I started my period" she will understand all girls go through it.

There isn't really good brands but you should get pads with wings for extra coverage.

Some girls don't start their period until they are 15 so you don't need to worry about starting, 11 years old is normal/early so you're fine! Be happy that you haven't started yet because it is so much easier without a period.

you will know the first time because you will see blood in your underwear or when you wipe. it can be red or brown.

If you are gonna use tampons, start with a light one. see how long it takes for it to be soaked, you will know because you'll see blood on the string. but i would say don't leave one in for more than 3-4 hours at first. if the light one is soaked quickly, use a regular. and gradually build up to super IF you need it. that's for heavy flow.
but it's better to use pads on your first period so you can see your flow, like when you use the bathroom you can just look and see how much blood is on your pad and how long it took. that will help you choose a tampon better.

it's awkward to tell your mom but i just walked up to mine while she was watching tv and said "mom, i think i started my period". you'll get over it, it's only embarassing the first day. don't wait to tell her though, i was scared to tell my mom and i waited to and it made it worse to deal with my period, i didn't know what to do.

dont worry your still growing and chagiing. your body will know. before a week or so of a period you will see white stuff. dont worry this is normal, it just tells you that its coming soon and you will prepare for it. you will know your type when it is full and you have to change a certain time. just tell your mom, "mom i think i jus tgot my period" its normal for all women :)

You are still pretty young! My daughter was 15 when hers (finally) came, but even being older is not uncommon.

I'm not sure what the average age is, although it is something like 6 months earlier every 10 years or so. Still, there is a real range, and 11 is way on the young end of it. More likely when you are at least 13, maybe 14.

As for the other questions: well, I'm a guy, so, I really can't answer them! I simply don't know what brands are best.

I think Always is a good brand. You will know your period is coming if you have lower stomach cramps or white stuff in your undies. It's normal. There is no sure way to tell when your period will come. Even if your mom had hers at ten, it doesn't mean you'll have yours soon. It normally starts two years after your boobs start to grow.
