Answers:

Just tell her that you want to try tampons, and try to include her.
"Hey mom, can we talk about some... Girl things...?" Take her to a private room, especially if you have younger sisters, brothers, or your dad. It could get awkward.
"So I wanted to try tampons, I don't like pads because they make me feel like I'm wearing a diaper, and it's not really helping me out during practice. If you let me try them, I'll be more comfortable and I'll enjoy my summer a lot more."
Don't let her get her way, your mom might not like that her little girl is growing up, and she might still see you as her baby. Remind her that you're a teen and that it's your health and you don't want to be embarrassed.

For later on:
Tampon boxes will ALWAYS have instructions with them on how to put in one. The best tip? Stay relaxed.
My mom gave me tips on how to put it in. (She wasn't in the bathroom with me) and she told me that if you put the tip of the tampon in Vaseline before you put it in it'll be less harder. The best for starters is Tampax easy glide.

Hope this helps.

Tell your mom exactly what you said here. Say that wearing pads during practice are uncomfortable and you want to feel comfortable for your summer activities.

If she still doesn't want to get them for you, you can always buy them for yourself, or get another trusted adult to help you.

I had the same issues with my mom, and eventually just started getting my own tampons, with my own money or had friends help me out.
She found out and got somewhat mad but I explained to her that wearing a pad feels like a diaper and disables me in my activities. Its also my body and she can't make all the decisions for me. So she started helping me out.
Hope my story helped =)

Ask your mum and tell her your reasons if she doesn't listen just buy them yourself with your friends i always help my best friend to buy her pads.

Nothin just me!

ask her. tell her what u just told us or ask for 20 $ to go to the mall and buy them
