Ways to help your mood swings during your period?!

Question: Ways to help your mood swings during your period?
I just got my first period and I can tell i'm acting cranky. It doesn't help that I got a few hours of sleep last night tho. Any tips on it to make it better? I'm 16 and i'm not going take drugs for it. Just need tips. Thanks!

When your frustrated, try to do something physical instead of sitting in just one place. Take a walk, go swimming, dance around in your room, etc. Take hot bubble baths, drink lots and lots of water and eat especially healthy. Your probably going to crave sugary and carby food, so head for fruits and things like popcorn instead. Everytime you feel ready to explode at someone, try to catch yourself and say something nice instead. You will find your thing that you do while your on your period, every woman does ;)

This sorta works for me, but maybe it's only me. I've no idea. Try it out, I guess...

When I go through 'PMS-ing mode', I usually just act myself, like we all should :) But when I'm acting cranky, I tend to catch myself and urge myself to act a little more nicer/polite/non-cranky.
I'm doing this now because I've lost friends due to my PMS-ing. I realized how impolite I was towards people like family and friends when my pre-period and period stopped.

Good luck, and stay strong. Don't go 'overboard'. :)

Exercise, a warm bath and believe it or not chocolate! Some midol or advil will also help relive the pain. If you get cramps, try a heating pad on your stomach.
