How often should you change your pad?!

Question: How often should you change your pad?
I got my first period today so i'm kinda new to all this. I tried a tampon and it just wouldn't budge so I'm using pads for now. How long should I leave them in for? People say to change it when it's uncomfortable or when it's damp. Idk how much is too much tho. Also do you bleed 24/7 for like 5 days then it comes back in 4 weeks? I heard it changes in the beginning and then you will get a pattern.

Hi I'm 13 and I just started mines too in September, and it's been pretty regular since then it all depends on your body, sometimes if a girls really sporty and active that can delay it or make them irregular, but just in general since your just starting it may be irregular so you may not have another for 2 or 3 months or you could have another in a month. About changing pads normally I change mines when it gets sort of colored but since I'm sitting most of the day at school I tend to just get more covered at the top of pad, which is normal. Also if it starts to get an odor you should change it even if only a little blood is on it. You don't bleed 24/7, just if your sitting or laying down for a while then when you get up you may feel a good amount rush out, especially when you wake up in the morning since you were laying down all night you might feel a big amount, I normally hold my legs closed and go into the bathroom and then it all goes in the toilet right away, make sure on your period you shower every day so you don't get a odor and make sure you keep you area really clean down there, tampons are tricky and I wouldn't suggest them until your 2nd-4th period, also I use liners pretty much my whole period except for when it gets real heavy which is normally one 1 or 2 days of it other wise it's pretty light, your period may be 3-7 days and when it does regulate it could come ever 21-30 days

Ever few hours, when it feels horrible to have on, or you feel properly uncomfortable, change it, and always keep a couple spare incase any random heavy flows happen.
You do tend to get a pattern, although don't panic about it if you don't. Many woman have irregular periods. I'm an expert on that! ><

Myself...lol ><

every woman's period is different. change it at least every four hours whether it is soaked through or not. at bedtime use a super maxi, also put a towel down on your sheets and lay on that to prevent getting your sheets bloody.

you will figure out your cycle.

congrats you're now officially a woman!

when its full but if you dont know then every 2-4 hors and yes the second part is true but its for 3-7 days then comes back in a month but since you just started you wont have monthly cycle yet. HOPE THIS HELPED!!!:D
