Question: Why is street slang so often used when talking about reproductive parts other than there actual names?
What I mean is like I see "popped cherry" but it's really torn hymen. Or "dick or cock" and it's really penis. I have even seen "sex hole" instead of vagina (or anus depends on who you are I guess). Why is street slag used more often than the actual medical named of the reproductive parts?
It can't all be from lack of education. I mean I believe some if it is, but what else could it be?

its how some people cope with uncomfortable situations, if some thing is akward, what do you do make a joke right? so when if you over hear somebody say: "oh we torn my hymen last night" or " oh we popped my cherry last night" which sounds better? i guess that is just my take on it. hope this helps ?
People often says those because they feel awkward saying vagina or penis. So they use slang to feel more comfortable
some people use slang because they feel embarrassed to use the actual names.
