MOMS - would you hire me to babysit IF you knew.....?? (this..)?!
Question: MOMS - would you hire me to babysit IF you knew.....?? (this..)?
BUT.... would you hire me, if you knew that I have an eating disorder to care for your children?
I'm just wondering how moms feel about that?
Thanks.

What if you hired me based on my experience...and after a few times, realized that I am truly a good sitter, and care for the children, and give them the upmost care... and THEN found out that I have an eating disorder... would you not call me again?
The reason I am asking is because I babysit for a lady often .. she has twin 2 year olds but they usually are sleeping when I start babysitting. Anyway, she did an ultra sound on me, and read the report, so she found out that I have an eating disorder ( i never knew that it was all in the report...). but regardless... I feel like she is anxious to leave the girls with me now, and it makes me sad, because i have been watching them for a year, and there has never been a problem and I love her girls..

I'll be very honest, I'm not sure if I would hire you if I knew beforehand that you had an eating disorder.I wouldn't NOT hire you either, however. Some of the best caregivers I know have some very serious issues. I think that if I was happy with your qualifications, that I would hire you on a trial basis to ensure it did not overlap into the care of my children. On the flip side, I'd do that with anyone. I'm not a very trusting person from to start with.
If I found out after I already knew that it did not affect my children, then I would just be concerned about you and worried about trying to help you and telling you I want to help you without making you upset and without offending you. I would absolutely not fire you unless I really really thought that by doing so, I could help you.
You've been looking after these girls for a year. I'm sure that the mother is worried about you and uncertain how to deal with it. I'm sure she even feels a little guilty - that she should have known, should have helped etc.
I'm thinking bulemia since that would show on an ultrasound.
Honestly, no I wouldn't, because I wouldn't want my children to see that, and it is also a clear indication that you are not mentally/emotionally equipped to deal with whatever is going on in your life.
i am not a mom but i would not care i mean you have the problems and i doubt you would not let the kids eat but you should start eating normal
i wouldnt care if u were babysitting my kids just as long as u genuinely cared about thier well being BUT i would try to get u to start eating normal
I won't care as long as you didn't restrict what my children could eat (which I highly doubt). She is most likely concerned for you as I would be.
