Answers:

The morning after pill (emergency contraception) is a harsh hormone. It keeps your body from ovulating and also thickens your cervical mucus.

I got this from the Plan B One Step website but it should be true for any brand of morning after pill:

"Side effects may include changes in your period, nausea, lower abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, dizziness, and breast tenderness. Some women may have changes in their period, a heavier or lighter next period, or a period that is early or late."

And this one is from Next Choice:

"When used as directed, nausea, stomach pain, headache, dizziness, breast tenderness, or menstrual changes (such as spotting or bleeding prior to a period) may occur. Your next period could be heavier or lighter, or earlier or later."

There are so many women on here that talk about late or missed periods after taking the morning after pill.

If you want you can buy a pregnancy test and take it to see if you are pregnant.

Good luck

your period should start on it's normal day, however it's not 100% effective, if you haven't had your period in another 4 days take a pregnancy test...your pregnancy test should have 2 tests in it, do one test one day and the second test the next, if you are pregnant contact your doctors asap, they will do a blood test to confirm your are pregnant and they can discuss your opitions with you.

If your really stressed about this that can effect your period.

good luck
