What can cause your period to come on a whole week early? ?!

Question: What can cause your period to come on a whole week early? ?
Answers:

A variety of issues can cause a woman’s menstrual cycle to come early, from stress to certain medical conditions, most of them minor.

Stress is the primary culprit. Stress affects your entire body, including hormonal secretions like estrogen. It’s estrogen that “times” a woman’s cycle, so when the levels of that hormone vary too much, periods can come early or late.

Caffeine can be another factor. If you’ve recently begun drinking coffee, or caffeinated tea or soda, and now your periods are coming earlier, stop the caffeine!

Changing birth control pills or methods is another fairly common reason. Everyone’s body reacts differently to drugs, so the switch to a new medication can often be accompanied with changes in your cycle. And remember that antibiotics often interfere with or completely block the effects of a birth control medication, so talking to your doctor is essential.

Your weight can interfere with the normal timing of periods, as well. Being very underweight or obese causes hormonal changes, and these can trigger early or later periods, or even skipping periods.

A number of things can change your cycle. A change in diet, a change in stress, a change in exercise etc. Also your age effects it too. Depending on how old you are your cycle may not have regulated itself. So take those things in to consideration. Also make sure your counting exactly 28 days from the first day of your period to estimate when it shall come. However some people have about a 35 day cycle as well.
