Dressed or undressed for surgery???!!! Please help!!?!

Question: Dressed or undressed for surgery???!!! Please help!!?
I have RSD and I'm having a catheter put in my brachial plexus. It's a surgery type thing so I'll be asleep. I'm wondering if they will have to undress me. I'm just really self causious about my boobs and stuff.

Will I be undressed?

Hi Kayla.

*hugs* It's normal to been a bit self conscious .You will have to change from your normal clothes into a hospital gown for your op.

They will need to take the gown off your arm and shoulder so that they can clean and get access to the area to put the catheter in, but your boobs will not be exposed. I have just done a google image search for you to show you where the block is placed: http://www.frca.co.uk/article.aspx?artic…

Is your Mom Cocoa Jo? I've been answering a few of her questions - I have RSD too.

You look after yourself, and good luck with your procedure

They will probably let you get undressed and put on a hospital gown. You won't know the difference and you will be fine. I pray your surgery goes well and is a success.
