I've been really sensitive to smells lately?!

Question: I've been really sensitive to smells lately?
Hello! I'm 15 years old. Lately, smells have seemed super strong. When I hug my mother, her perfume makes me nauseous and feel like I'm going to throw up. When I go to the store and walk past the gardening section I get really dizzy from the smell.
Any ideas on why I'm so sensitive to smells?

Answers:

Are you sexually active? if so thats a sign of pregnancy.

if not its just hormones, have you noticed it being like that during a certain time of the month? it's normal.

pregnant? Is it at all possible? If not, it could be what and how much you're eating. If you are only eating one kind of thing and then smell something else (food flavored perfume, etc, anything pungent), it could throw you off.

I got into a routine of only eating eggs and when I smelled anything strong it made me wanna through up... it passes after a while.

It is probably hormonal, pregnancy is one possibility but so is a different stage of your puberty.
I wasn't scent-sensitive when I was younger but after puberty started I got more so and by the time I was done puberty scents would make me sick too.
Or it could be an allergy that has manifested, you might want to make an appointment with your doctor to get a referral to an allergist to have you tested.

Case is right, a sign of pregnancy is being really senstive to smells, sometimes so bad that it can make you throw up. If your sexually active, its time to buy some pregnancy tests..

you could be pregnant :(
