When will I get a pattern for my period?!

Question: When will I get a pattern for my period?
I got mine Saturday. When will the pattern start? And what are the signs of a period cause this summer i'm afraid if my pattern didn't start I could I be swimming and my period will just show up!

Answers:

If you've just gotten your FIRST period, it could take anywhere from several months to a year or so for your body to get regulated. If you're worried about starting your period while you're swimming, just use a tampon (put it in before you go swimming and then remove it as soon as your done). I was a swimmer in middle school and high school and I wore tampons from my first period on. If I was within a few days of my period, I would just use a tampon, just in case, and then I wouldn't have to worry about anything (no way was I going to let my period dictate whether or not I could swim).

Good luck!

It won't ever just "show up". You'll have symptoms and your mood and food cravings will change. You'll probably have cramps within the few days you're getting it. If you do have cramps and are nervous, just wear a tampon. You won't turn the water red the first day you get your period, that's for sure.

It usually takes a couple of months until it actually starts to be on the same date,
like mine always starts on the 9th.

Hope this helps x :D

It can take years.
