Do you have to be eighteen just to pick up the prescription for birth control?!

Question: Do you have to be eighteen just to pick up the prescription for birth control?
I'm on it and my parents know and whatnot. I call in my own prescriptions. But my mom insists that she has to be the one to pick it up because I'm not old enough at seventeen. But when I went there with my grandma one time they said I could just sign for it myself. My mom has forgotten to pick it up on several occasions and if she's mad at me she'll sometimes put off picking it up until the night before I need to start a new pack just to stress me out.. We don't always have the best relationship. It would be way more simple if I could just get it. I'm in Colorado, U.S.

So basically I already have the persecution lined up at my pharmacy, so can I just pick it up myself? I'll call and ask obviously but I was hoping this might save me some time if I find out I definitely can't.

Answers:

You can always pick up prescriptions of any kind for any person at any age. Especially your own. Pharmacies don't card. They just want the money. Some pharmacies ask you to sign a log at the check out counter (CVS). If you ever pick up a script that is not yours, still sign your name.
