Started BRENDA PILL gained weight and bloated over last few weeks! is this common with brenda35?
im nearly 16 and went on the pill because of excess hair growth , the doc gave me Brenda 35 which i have found out is one of the highest dose pills.
I am really bloated! everyone keeps telling me i look fatter and its getting me down.
I would change to another pill but i want to take this so it helps with the hair. are other types that help with excess hair availble?

The bloating that occurs with the pill (and this can occur with any brand) is caused by water retention which has to do with the hormone in the pills, just like the hormones rising when we have our periods.
There is one other pill that might be helpful called Yasmin (the newer version is Yaz). I tried it for 6 months and had problems adjusting to it when I first started out and then 6 months in to it had other problems and had to get off of it. I did lose nearly 10 lbs while on that particular pill.
As for what you should do, if you like this pill you are on because it helps then I wouldn't be worried about what the others think. You found something you like because it works and I would say stick with it. And if anyone starts to say something again you just ignore them.
