When did you first get your period like at what age , where were you when you got it and in what way did you tell your mum or dad?

I got mine at home 2 days ago and i havent told my mum

i was 12 yrs old, i was changing into my skating outfit [i figure skate] and i noticed a red/brown stain in my underwear. my mom was at work, my dad was about to take me to the skating rink. i sorta laughed it off, i was like "nah...its not..it cant...hahhahahah no." after my class had our health lesson when i was 10, my mom had left a packet of pads on my bed when i got home. i had them in my underwear drawer, and i never ever spoke to my mom about it. since i had those, i put one on and continued my night skating.

when i got home and changed..yeah.
realized it was what i thought it wasnt lol

i went through the whole "do i tell her?!!!" with my mom.
i did the whole "Mom?"...."yes?"..."NEVERMIND.... thing at least 5 times.
the sixth time, she was like 'WHAT?!" lol she was annoyed.
then i was like "oh um..i have my period."
and she was like "i was wondering if that had happened yet." then she hugged me, and i reallyyy wanted to pull away lol

i never ever speak of it to my family, i just tell my mom when i need more tampons.
