Bleeding after discontinuing Depo provera.?
I had the depo shot in feb after being on the implant for a year. I did not go back for a second shot as i want to give my body a break.
After the 14 week time i had a 3 week period. That stopped for a week then i had another for a week. That stopped and now i bleed after sex everytime for like 2 days and it is enough to need a tampon.
Has any one had any experiances with this? Thanks :-)

Hello. I had the depo shot numerous times at different times of my life. I now have my tubes tied, but my last shot was in february. Yes, everytime that I stopped the shot I had prolonged periods, sometimes bleeding after intercourse. I as well would bleed for weeks at a time and then stop for a week or so before starting again. You just need to give your body time to get used to being without depo and getting your peroids back to normal after going so long without them. If they continue this way I would speak with your gyno as you may need horomones to get you back on track. Take care. Hope this helps.
