Bladder Infection or UTI?!

Question:

Bladder Infection or UTI?

What is the main difference? I am sure I have one or the other and am going to get tested sometime next week, but will the doctor test for both automatically? And if you have a UTI for so long can't you develop like PID? (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Answers:

They are basically the same thing. The doctor gives you the same medications for them both. UTI's are closer to your urethra, and the bladder inflection is, well, in your bladder.

Until you get to the doctors next week, drink LOTS of water. It'll help flush out the bacteria if you do have an infection.
