White sticky discharge. yeast infection? help?!

Question:

White sticky discharge. yeast infection? help?

hi.
a while ago, when i wiped after urinating, there was sticky white discharge on the tissue paper. then i checked with a mirror and saw that theres white sticky discharge around my opening of vagina. i try wiping it all off but there are still some there. its a some sort of odor like i usually have, kind of fishy.
earlier in the day, my boyfriend was fingering me.
is there a chance for me to be infected? yeast infection maybe?
however, i just checked the symptoms for yeast infections, saying that there will be soreness and itchiness. but i dont feel any of those. i just notice the discharge. and my period is suppose to start around the 13th.
is it an infection? or is it just regular discharge? is discharging like this healthy?

Answers:

Before and after your period you'll normally see a thick white discharge. When you're ovulating it should be clear and stretchy.
You mentioned that you have a fishy odor. That's a sign of bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of bacteria in the vagina (a yeast infection is an overgrowth of yeast). You should make an appointment with you doctor to get it checked out.
