Question:

This question is for people who have had plastic surgery or have some education on the subject please, thanks?

i have a few questions about plastic surgery...first one is about nose jobs....they dont add plastic parts to your nose do they? or do they just cut it and make it smaller, or shape it differently?

and my next question is about breast lifts....what does it do?ive watched extreme makeover, but ive never seen a breast lift done on there...so do they move the nipple up to make ur breasts look more purky? do they cut off some of the breast and lift it up and sew it back on? what do they do? how is it done? what is the aftermath like? can they make pancake titties perky or something lol? whats the deal??

Answers:

With a nose job, they either remove the bone and cartilage to reshape the nose and/or make it smaller in size. Sometimes they can build up the nasal bridge or tip with bone taken from the ribcage or cartilage taken from the ear.

As for breast lifts, there are different techniques. One common one is called the t-anchor lift. What they do is make an incision in the crease of the breast and then a vertical incision up and around the areola. They actually then remove the areaola and nipple and remove the excess skin and breast tissue. They then sticth the areaola/nipple into a new higher position and close up the incisions.

In addition to lifting the breasts, to make breasts more perky, they often add a small implant during the breast lift to give it back shape and restore lost volume. Afterwards, there can be some quite major scarring, but with time it will fade.
