you're probably better off using sanitary pads for the meantime.
if you just started having your period I would not suggest using tampons.
I've had patients forget to take out their tampons for some reason and sometimes they end up with a strong odor coming from their "Va-J-J" and we find out that there's several tampons in there...
I have no clue how people forget coz I have never had that problem. I change it every 4-6 hours depending on how heavy my days are.
you may also ask your mom or an auntie or older cousin abiout these things.
