Contracepive pill not agreeing with me what is a good alternative?

hi i'm recently married and have came off the pill as we thought of trying for a baby but have decided to leave it another year but i dont want to go back on the pill as since i've came off it i've lost a lot of weight and feel lots better. i have tried a few types of pill. I am allergic to condoms any suggestions as to what would be the best method of contraception

Answers:

My preference is fertility awareness (aka natural family planning). There's basically two kinds - sympto-thermal and cervical mucus-only - and both are good but different people have preferences based on their sleeping habits and other factors.

The disadvantage is that it means abstaining from sex during certain days. (The number of days is fairly small for most women, but it may take a couple cycles to figure it out.)

The advantage is that knowing your cycle will help when you do try to conceive and also help you track any potential health issues later in life.

There's several internet sources of information, plus books available. However, learning from a qualified instructor is the best way.
