Infected Cysts "down there?"?

So i thought i had herpes or something. I was freaking out!!! I described the bumps to my mom and she said its not, and that it was a cyst.

My health insurance got dropped becuase I am taking 3 college classes not 4 and you need to be a full time student to be on the plan. My regular gynecologist told me that she didnt think that I had anything to worry about, and that if i had an STD she'd have probably noticed before (I go about 3 times a year for exams due to an abnormal pap test)

ANYWAYS...I went to planned parenthood (where my doctor reccomended) and they checked me out. The lady said it looked NOTHING like herpes and she had no reason to believe that the bumps i have are any form of std. She said it looked like a cyst to her..

She said that it looks a tiney bit infected and she said to soak in a warm/hot bath 3 times daily. She said that in about one week if the bumps do not begin going away - to contact my doctor again.

Asside from bathing in a warm/hot bath, is there anything else that I can do to help clear the infection??

I'm a very clean person,my clothes are always clean, I shower daily(usually twice)..the doctor said that none of that matters though and that infections can occur for other reasons (moisture, etc...)

So asside from staying clean and taking those hot baths, what else can I do? My mom said i could try putting baking soda into the tub. I read somewhere that vinegar can help with infection. Should i put vinegar in the tub? (Then i'd stink though)

any advice would be great

You should ask your doctor if there's any kind of ointment you could put on it, or any antibiotics. Usually if there's an infection you take meds for it.........
