I'm curious, I've heard of older women getting hysterectomies and their tubes tied, but I was wondering..

But I wondering, legally how young can a person be to undergo such procedures?

I don't think you have to have medical problems hands down (at least for tube tying) , I know there's lots of women who have had their tubes tied after having the amount of children they want.

Well, I'm 23, and I plan in my life to have 1 or 2 children. At the moment I am not sexually active :( or trying for a baby but let's say I have two children by age 30, could I decide to get my tubes tied, etc?

And also I'm asking because I know there's a few situations where women (girls) under 21 have a hand full of children "accidently" and I was wondering if in that situation the 20 or 21 year old woman could get her tubes tied?

Generally a doctor that is worth anything will not do a tubal ligation unless a woman has had at least one child and is in her later 20's at least. A hysterectomy is available only for medical necessities. I had one due to severe fibroids.
