That is abnormal, but not uncommon.
It can be for so many reasons: you can have a cut, be stressed, anxious, any sort of thing.
Going to a doctor is good advice.
If you don't want to go to a doctor, you'll have to wait until your next cycle to see if it returns to normal. A lot of the time, when women have periods like that, the doctor gives them birth control to regulate it.
