Answers:

it is CERVICAL MUCUS !!!

congratulations, this is one of the first steps of becoming a woman. Generally girls start producing this about a year before they get their first period. What it is is that your body is maturing sexually and it anticipates that sexual activity could happen at any time, and if you were dry down there you could be injured.

Estrogen is what causes that to be produced, and when you have enough estrogen you will also start releasing eggs and having a full cycle(period). Once you start cycling, you will notice that about half way between periods that gooey white stuff will turn clear, and there will be a LOT more of it, about 10-15 times more than at other times of the month. Other times of the month though it is white, like you described, and girls who haven't hit their period yet, but are producing estrogen, will only have the white kind.

Obviously if it is clumpy, smells bad, or burns or itches, it could be a yeast infection, but if it's just creamy and white it's normal.
Also, the old wives tale is that it's the vagina cleaning itself out, this is what mother used to tell their daughters to avoid having to discuss sexuality and how the whole reproductive system works. There is a reason it starts happening when you hit puberty, and not when you were 6 or 7 years old. You didn't just all of a sudden become very dirty, you're becoming a woman!
