Im going to be on my period at camp!(girls ONLY)?
im so upset idk what to do b/c at this camp u swim and surf.I really badly want to go surfing but since im going to be on my period i dont know if i should go.&& i cant use tampons yet(tried).Im only 13 so i cant take pills or anything like that.
so what do u suggest i do?

Keep trying tampons. It takes awhile to get use to them. Why "can't" use use tampons? If they hurt they probably weren't in far enough. Try using smaller tampons and ones that have plastic applicators. If you want to go swimming/surfing, there isn't any option but tampons. You can't swim without them and you can't use a pad (it'll just soak up all the water and be completely useless).
If nothing else, talk to the camp counselors and tell them you have your period and can't swim, etc. for a few days.
