Can a female get pregnant on the depo shot and also only have one ovary?!
Question:
Can a female get pregnant on the depo shot and also only have one ovary?
My 18 year old daughter was told this evening that she was pregnant, but she was on the depo shot, and had lost an ovary 2 years ago. Any help?
Answers:
The only 100% pregnancy proof birth control is abstinence. The depo shot is extremely close to completely preventing pregnancy but not 100%. With one ovary, it can still release an egg every other month, where the other ovary would have released it the other months. There are just some weird things that our bodies and medical intervention do that we can't completely predict or control so your current situation is possible.
