Something inside my vagina....?

uh, well, kind of embarassing but awhile ago i was putting in a tampon and it like kind of went to the side, so i stuck my finger up there to see if i had forgotten to take out the last tampon or something, and i felt something like a growth in there.. like it wasn't really attatched to a wall but its like big and there. i'm afraid to tell my mom though because thats just embarassing and weird, "hey mom i was just feeling the inside of my vagina the other day.." yeah awkward. but like that was a long time ago, and i have checked it often and sometimes its like hard to feel and its like high up, other times its like really big and there but i can't see it and it doesn't neccesarily hurt or anything, but i have had a cyst on my ovary though (supposedly, they just assumed that though, they weren't sure), but like what do you think i should do and what could it be? i'm afraid to get intimate with anyone now cuz they'll be like, wtf? but yeah any suggestions?

I think you're just feeling your cervix, which is completely normal. It's about the same firmness as the tip of your nose. It's round and has a dimple in the middle, which you can also feel. The cervix may be higher or lower depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle; it "moves around" a bit during the month.
