Will I be able to have a baby?!

Question:

Will I be able to have a baby?

I used to take medicine reperidal on a regular basis and it took away my period for a year then I started taking a new medicene called abilfy and I took that from 2003 till the present on a daily basis...
As of late I have been working hard to lose weight but have only gained weight..right now I weigh 242 and I'm 5'3''. I understand that my weight shouldn't exceed 150 at my height.
Nevertheless, someday I wish to have kids and I got some blood work done and it showed that my estrogen was really low and my testosterone was to high...I'm scared will I be able to have kids...I have another doctors appointment next week to discuss discontinuing the medicine. Oh and it is alright for me to regulate my period with birth control pills and would it be smart for me to take prenatal pills? I am 21 year old female...

Answers:

Many times when medications are created it's by accident.
Birth control was originally created by a Catholic priest who was trying to create a new fertility medication. This is why many times woman get pregnant immediately after they stop taking the pill.

It seems to me that you are on quite a few different medications which have the hormones in your body doing a topsy turvy act. You are young yet. If you go off of some of the meds your levels will probably go back to normal. I wouldn't advise taking more pills and shots on top of what you are already taking unless recommended by your doctor and you are trying to get pregnant at this exact moment in time.

And many people with irregular periods have no problems conceiving children. With the individuals that I know with this issue, the only problem is the normal tell-tale sign of knowing that you are pregnant becomes a bit more difficult to realize without a doctor's help.
