Tampon, Pad alternative?!
Question:
Tampon, Pad alternative?
I was at WalMart today and I saw "Instead". It is a "cup" and the idea of it seems to be a great one. Tampons are very painful for me and I was wondering if these are safe to wear while swimming?
I used to have a diaphram and it seems to work the same way. I would love it if this product worked, I am just wondering why I haven't heard of it.

I think it sounds like a good idea too. It seems to be a lot like the keeper or diva cup, but you don't have to worry about washing this out (which is really nice unless you'd rather use something more eco friendly). I like that it would allow you to have sex during your period without worrying about getting messy and also that you can keep it in for a long time without worrying about TSS.
I think these collection type devices would be a lot more popular if society didn't have such hangups about a woman sticking her finger up her vagina.
