Short period? Slow flow?!

Short period? Slow flow?

I had a very short period (about 2-3 days) and then I had a very small amount of brown discharge for a day or so. Why is that? I'm guessing it's normal, but why would someone who's VERY regular have a short period. Usually mine last 4 days on average. Let me know if this has happened to you before. thanks in advance.

Any number of things could cause that. I have polycystic ovarian disease, which causes me to have a short period, completely stop for 1-2 days, start again for 1-2 days, and then spot for 4-5 days. It's incredibly annoying but without health insurance, I can't get help for it. You may or may not have something serious.

Things to consider are high stress levels, increased or decreased level of exercise, and mood levels (such as depression). All of these things can have an effect on your cycle.

I would wait it out another cycle, unless you think you might be pregnant. If you still have concerns after that, go to the doctor.
