Menapause?!

Menapause?

I am 38 years of age. how will I know when I will "go through the change"? my periods are way off. I will skip a month and start at the beginning of the next month. that went on for 3 months. now it's at the end of the month. who knows when it will come again. help?

My Mom had a partial hysterrectimy in her early 30's. so I have no idea when I will go through the change.

You do need to check with your dr. to make sure there isn't something else going on, but it sounds like perimenopause.

This is the up to 10 year period before menopause. Your periods can become very irregular, your hormones go crazy, and you just never know what's going to happen next!

I'm going through all this and have for the past 4 years or so. Sometimes I don't have a period for 3 to 4 months....but I have PMS, cramps, all the symptoms that it's going to start any minute....and finally months later, it does. Other months, it comes regulary...you just never know what to expect.

It's a very unpredictable stage in your life, both physically and emotionally. See your dr. and take care of yourself!
