Gyno Pap Smear quesion?
I'm 14 years old and my doctor wants me to go to a gynocologist. Is this normal for someone my age? Or should I wait until I am older?

Are you having painful period? Is there any other gyno concerns? If so than you should go. Quite frankly I can't see any normal reason for a 14 yr to have a pap. Unless you are sexually active.
If you were my daughter and not sexually active and do not have gyno health concerns then I would not allow it. If there is a medical reason that is another matter.
If this is something that must be done make sure your mom or an aunt go with you. Ask them to explain what is going to happen. Make sure they are in the exam room to hold your hand. This is an emotional process for the first time; especially, in my opinion for a 14 year old. Be up front with the OBGYN and tell her that you want her to explain before hand what will be done and then during the steps of the process.
It is a normal test but it is intrusive. Ask questions and make sure it is necessary.
