Took inactive pill on Sunday, period not here yet and it is Wednesday.?!

Question:

Took inactive pill on Sunday, period not here yet and it is Wednesday.?

I am on birthcontrol and I took my first inactive pill on Sunday, today is Wednesday and my period is still not here. Why is this?
I had sex twice this month between my periods, both times were protected, and I took my medicine pretty conistently.
I was stressed last week about some things, but I don't know if that could be the cause.
I'm so scared that I could be pregnant.
Is there anyway to make it come faster?
I take Cryselle birth control. Has anyone else taken this medicine and skipped a period?
Please, I really need some answers.
Also, I had sex on Monday, and it didn't come yet. I thought that it might make it come, but it hasn't.
I've also noticed some discharge.

I've been on the pill since I was about twelve years old, so I'm not a new user.

But I read that sometimes if you are on the pill for a long time your periods can diwdle to almost nothing or you can just skip a period sometimes. Is that true?
I usually don't get many peiod cramps, but the normal ones that I get, I've been experiencing off and on for a few days.
PLEASE, HELP!!!!!

Answers:

I'm on the pill and usually discharge means you are ABOUT to get your period. I take the inactive pills on Sunday as well and usually don't even get my period til Wednesday or Thursday. It ends up being really nice to have such a short and light period that birth control usually causes. So I wouldn't stress too much. If you are worried though, go out and get a pregnancy test. But you should be fine, unless you haven't been taking your pills consistently (not sure if this is true but someone on here told me each time you miss a pill the effectiveness goes down by 50%.. i don't really believe that but it scared me) or if you're really fertile. If you don't get your period by Friday I'd take a preg. test. Good luck..
