Period ? Do you have advice for me?!

Question:

Period ? Do you have advice for me?

I'm twenty years old. I have been on birth control for almost 7 years (The doctor gave it to me when I was very young, thinking I had PCOS, which was later negative) I finished my birthcontrol pills on the 23rd of June, and I usually get my period in the next few days. On Tuesday the 26th, I bled some darker colored blood, and two days later, nothing. The thing is that lately I have been more stressed than ever; graduation, new job, moved into a new place.... I heard this can interfere with your cycle. I am just wondering if I should start a new pack of BC pills or not. Also, should I be taking a pregnancy test? Since I have been on BC for so long, I highly doubt the pregnancy thing, but I need some advice before I have an anxiety attack... Help me?

Answers:

I know it sounds lame, but if you just need a nice little confirmation that you aren't pregnant, you can go to the dollar store and they usually have pregnancy tests (cheapos).

Also, sometimes when you get stressed out, it can interfere with your cycle. Sounds like you got a lot going on. Relax, I'm sure its nothing. I know that's happened to me a few times. Sometimes you'll just get it a little heavier than usual next month, or maybe it will be back to normal. I would say if this persists for more than two or three months, call your OBGYN. But just wait and see because I think you're fine.
