Tampon + Swimming + Boat = :O?!

Question:

Tampon + Swimming + Boat = :O?

I'm going swimming and on a boat when I am on my period.
It was be a heavy flow because it's only the second day.
Anyway, I'm really scared because I'll be in and out of the water, so how am I supposed to change my tampon? I can't do it on the boat..
Also, I think we'll be out there for MORE thank 6-8 hours..how can i change it?!!

I'm so nervous, I've never worn a tampon while swimming.

Also, this is really gross..but whenever i have a tampon in and I have to use the bathroom..the pee absorbs the tampon..and i can feel it getting bigger. It's really uncomfortable..is this because the tampon is not in far enough?

Answers:

No ,the tampon is not in far enough. Try putting the applicator a little over half way in before pushing in the tampon. And I would advise you to change it every time you use the restroom, it's safer for you hygienically speaking. (unless you go then go again ten mins. later then I think it would be OK for you not to change it twice.) Now the first question, usually when any woman is submerged in water it is natural for the flow to stop completely, it is a survival mechanism. I guess nature didn't want us to attract sharks..lol Once you get out it will start back immediately! So unless you are in a position to go somewhere within a 30min period of time after you have been in I wouldn't advise swimming. unless your flow is minimal. Anyway, if you are going to be out there for 6 hours you are going to probably have to stop for gas you can use the restroom then. If you are near some woods you can ask the captain to let you off to go in the woods and take care of things there. Hope this helps some. Have a great day tomorrow.
