What is a realistic weight for a 5' 3" woman?!

Question:

What is a realistic weight for a 5' 3" woman?

I went to the doctor recently and she said I was fat. Yes, she said fat! I'm 5' 3" and weigh 145 lbs. I know I'm no model but I NEVER, EVER considered myself overweight.

Answers:

How sweet of her! Women should weigh 100 pounds for the first 5 feet of height. then 3-8 pounds per inch of height, plus or minus ten pounds. So you could weigh as much as 134, and not be fat, depending on how big your bones are. I am also 5'3. I feel healthy at 140, and sick at 135. I'd rather weigh 115, but that isn't likely to happen! I guess you could work on losing 10-12 pounds before you go back to see her.
Or you could get a new doctor!
