Really heavy period?
i started taking birth control pills to ragulate my period and that was going fine but when i got my period for this month the flow is so heavy i go through a pad or tampon every 2 - 3 hours could there be something wrong and is there anything that could help lighten the flow?

i've been on the pill almost 6 years now, and started for the very same reason as you.Even at this stage I still can get a really heavy period, but most months are normal, not very heavy and usually not too painful.It's just how our bodies work.Don't worry...get a hot water bottle, some chocolate, put on a soppy film, get into your sweats and curse men :-)
