Birth Control Question...?!

Question:

Birth Control Question...?

I have been taking birth control for the past 5 or so years...I've taken Yasmine, Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Lo, Ortho-Cept, and some other newer one that is supposed to have less hormones than ortho-tri-cyclen lo.
Anyways, I started getting really heavy periods and these big clots and my period would last for at least a full 7 days. I would have to use overnight pads all day (changing it every hour) because it was so heavy. I stopped taking the birth control and my period is much much better...still lasts about 5 or 6 days, but definitely not as heavy. The only problem is...I don't want to get pregnant....so does anyone know of a birth control that I could maybe use? Either another type of birth control pill...or something else?

I know there is something that the gyno can put on my uterus, but that isn't an option for me because I've had a kidney transplant and just to be safe, they don't want me to try that. And condoms SUCK...so don't say condoms.

Thanks!!

Answers:

Go to your doctor or your local family planning clinic.

Tell them what you just told us.

All birth control pills are not the same. They all have different amounts, and sometimes even different hormones in them.
They can give you free samples to try. What works for one person may have a different effect for another. We are all different.

The depo shot might be an option for you. Do ask about it when you go in. You will have to be actively bleeding if you want to get the shot.

Good luck!
