I'm assuming you already took a pregnancy test. If it's been 8 months and you aren't pregnant and you aren't menopausal, it may be a sign of something serious. Sometimes women lose their periods because of hormonal or weight issues (women that are too skinny and have very little body fat will stop menstruating).
