Menstrual cycle is different on each women. Got to your doctor and let them know. I had a friend who had her first period when she was 14 and it lasted 2 weeks straight. After that it was gone for a year or so. Nothing to worry about it's just her body's way of functioning, but if you are still worried just take her for a checkup.
