Question about my hair?!

Question:

Question about my hair?

way back in november i was stressed out for being in college and paying bills, my hair had taken a turn for the worst the three months after with tons of shedding. then weeks passed and the shedding reduced and my hair has been growing in perfectly up to this date, but its still thinner then 'i'm used to and it aches in areas, I'm not sure if thats because its growing in and starting to grow again... I had very thick coarse curly hair but now its loose wavy and not as thick and coarse, I've been taking prenatal vitamins and biotin and folic acid and b-12 and vitamin E for a real long time since the incident occurred, but I am still wondering will time improve my hair i've been eatting alot of protein lean meats and vegetables and adding fruit into my diet as well, any advice will be helpful thank you !!!!

hey... i'm sorry about your stressful situations... no fun. but really there isn't too much more you can do other than what you are doing, taking vitamins and such. prenatals will help the most. in all honesty though, you hair will never go back to how it was before. after you go through the kind of situation you went through (sounds pretty horrible), your body experiences many different kinds of chemical imbalances... and 9 times out of 10, none of those imbalances will be how they were before... ie, you'll probably be more easily stressed out now than you would have been before. but this will definitely affect your hair. the aging process thins out hair as it is, and some of your roots are dead years before your hair falls out naturally. so you may have lost some hair before your time. it will get better though, just give it a little more time, and your hair will improve. prenatals and folic acid will add strength and shine to your hair, and make it grow faster... as for the sore areas on your head, they are more than likely caused by the severe hair loss... taking the vitamin e should help... and if the soreness persists for longer than another couple weeks, i would talk to your doctor about it.
in the mean time, there are many products you can use to bring back your curl and to volumize your hair. even simple things like switching up shampoos and conditioners every other day will improve your hair's physique. try using a volumizing mousse before you blow-dry your hair. and when you blow dry it, tip your head upside down the whole time... then if you feel like it, when you are styling it, lightly hairspraying your roots up will create volume, too. :) if you know how to backbrush/backcomb, that always works.

good luck, sweetie. i hope you feel better soon.
