Please help....I've just had the Mirena coil fitted?

It was put in this morning, and was told to expect cramps, and by god, I'm certainly having them! I also feel a little nauseous, and was feeling faint.......how long will these effects last? I don't think I can put up with this for too long!!! I've taken some paracetamol, but it's not working......

Thank you to you all for the answers to my question, well it's now been nearly a week, and although I'm still crampy, it's no where near as bad as it was. My period started the day I got it put in, and it has not stopped yet, but I hope that's due to the coil being put in, and not going to be a regular monthly thing - that would be a nightmare!!! You have all given such helpful answers and I'm really grateful to all of you.....
