Do you still have to use contraception after one year of no periods?!

Question:

Do you still have to use contraception after one year of no periods?

The blood test results have confirmed the lack of periods is caused by the menopause.
The doctor advised "I DON'T THINK SO"

Answers:

I think you do. I am going through menopause right now. I went for two years and then started having periods again for 6 months. There also are menopausal babies............. Menopause takes years to complete, and it would be best to wait until the doctor says you are finished with it and then I would wait another year or so............. just to be safe.
