How long after should I start my period?!

Question:

How long after should I start my period?

How long after your ovary releases an egg will you start your period?
I had my IUD removed April 25th. I've not had a period since Oct 05.(pregnancy then IUD) I had been having a discharge for about 1 and a half weeks until yesterday(Sunday). I went to the DR and she said I had a UTI. She done an ultrasound because I didn't have a period since my IUD was removed,
and said that my ovary had released an egg.She also gave me a pregnancy test that came back negative. She said it's possible that I could be pregnant. My husband and I had sex on Sat using the "pull out" method. He didn't pull out right in time, but a second after. She wants me to take another test in 2 weeks. What do you think the chances of me being pregnant? I will worry myself to death til then

Answers:

In a 28 day cycle, a period usually starts 14 days after ovulation. If you had unprotected sex last sat it will be too early yet for a positive result to show up on a pregnancy test. There is still a chance that you could be pregnant especially if he pulled out "just after". I would wait another week and if you still haven't started your period do another test.
