Im 39wks. 5days preg. when loosing the mucus plug do it has to be a certain color?

I lost some white discharge it was kind of watery but it wasnt tinged with any blood, was that my mucus plug? If not how is it suppose to look?

It could have been. but usually there is a slight hit of light red color ...just make sure that your water bag hasn't started leaking... I'm sure with your being so close to your due date that your being watched closely good luck..
